Kaly Live Dub – “Allaxis”

It’s been 3 years since last release by Kaly Live Dub from France, their album “Lightin’ The Shadow” was excellent – I often play the tune with Biga Ranx on parties – mainly the crazy dub version, so i’ve been waiting too se what will they show us. And there we have 10 tunes that have a lot of strength – the band plays live dub with a deep dubstep accents, in which the bass pierces every part of the body … literally. This time there is only one vocalist Leroy Green (singing in 3 tunes) and he does a good job. The album is musical vision of the French who flow between dub and dubstep… maybe “flow” is a bad word to describe it – they hit you with a massive sound, which will stay in us for a long time. My favourite tracks are “Run and go hide” (the essence of their style), “Can I make a wish” and “No bother jump”. Those are the calmest tunes on the album, but they have a heavy foundation created by the bass. That album is a proof that music doesn’t have any limits and it can do some damage, I recommend it to people open to experiments and to dubstep fans to hear how it’s done by a live band.
