Digi.Signa – “Rasta Takeover” / “Murda We Charge”

Digi.Signa – “Rasta Takeover” / “Murda We Charge”

rastaTo its release number 20, Digi.Signa invited Vibronics to cooperation again (http://dubmassive.org/en/9928/u-roydaddy-spencer-remixed-by-vibronics-and-zion-train-segnale-digitale). On the vocals we get Anthony Johnson, who in a great, charismatic style – by singing and declamation – raises this nice, rockin’ riddim yet higher . Apart from a “regular” dub version we get also a special mix called “Vibronics Future Dub” and a very interesting, slow original version.

Listen: http://segnaledigitale.org/dev/en/albums/digi-signa-020

murdaThe release number 21 presents two dynamic singers – Blackout Ja and Turbulence. They flow on the riddim originally produced in reggae style; here it is tuned-up by such specialists like Neil Perch from Zion Train and Numa Crew (jungle version). All of this together makes very energetic mix.

Another very good releases from Digi.Signa!

2×12” from Digi.Signa

2×12” from Digi.Signa

MURRAY-DEF-e1432063206553BLACKOUT-A-JUNGLEWhen I receive information about new Digi.Signa releases I listen to it as soon as possible and it never disappoints me (http://dubmassive.org/en/search/digi+signa ). My joy is doubled now as the label gave us two 12″‘s, the first one in a heavy dub style produced by Murray Man and Zion Train and the second one in a jungle style, but with some dub accents. Murray Man sings ‘Blazing Fire’ on a heavy rhythm, remixed by Perch who created one of the best Zion Train riddims alongside the horns crew. The other one is a heavy jungle hit with vocals by Blackout JA and a stepper killer remix by Numa Crew –  extraordinarily powerful!

Digi.Signa – Anthony B & Daddy Spencer (12”)

Digi.Signa – Anthony B & Daddy Spencer (12”)

DIGI-SIGNA-YOUTHMAM-A1Thanks to collaboration between Segnale Digitale and Warsound we get an amazing, 12 inch album with Daddy Spencer and Anthony B on vocals, produced by Manasseh and Vibronics. It’s not a coincidence that those artists meet on that album – Daddy perfectly fits the calm, pulsating rhythm made by Nick Manasseh, who is one of the best reggae music producers. The B side is another petard – Anthony B meets Vibronics and that steppers really destroys fascism with its power, it should appear on every sound system party and support the fight with system denaturalizations!

U-Roy/Daddy Spencer remixed by Vibronics and Zion Train (Segnale Digitale)

U-Roy/Daddy Spencer remixed by Vibronics and Zion Train (Segnale Digitale)

UROY-label-1 The first release in 2015 from Segnale Digitale label is a 12” with legendary U-Roy and Daddy Spencer, known from previous record (http://dubmassive.org/en/7862/digi-signa-anthony-b-daddy-spencer-12/). “Give Thanks to Jah Master” was originally produced by Don Goliath and now we get a vocal and dub remix by Vibronics. Daddy’s Spencer “Weep and Mourn” was made for a compilation “Bass Culture Vol. 2”, here it is remixed by Zion Train. Both dub masters add their unique style to the tracks, a solid record to your dub box.

RISE UP ! SOUND SYSTEM (Częstochowa)
Pochodząca z Częstochowy trójka przyjaciół (Kingman, Lotnik, Zmora),których łączy miłość i pasja do głębokich, basowych brzmień szeroko pojętego nurtu reggae/dub. Projekt Rise up! narodził się w okolicach roku 2003 w Częstochowie, zaś pełny skład zawiązał się 2 lata później w angielskim Nottingham, gdy do Zmory i Kingmana dołączył trzeci filar załogi Lotnik. Rise up! sound system to szeroki projekt.

Weeding Dub – “Still Looking For”

Weeding Dub – “Still Looking For”

Weeding-Dub-Still-Looking-For-Cover2 years after “Inna Digital Age” French producer Weeding Dub came back with a new album. “Still Looking For” is a continuation of the style that he got us to know himself from the best side – a combination of electro-steppers with UK dub sound. When you add great arrangements coming out of well-worn schemas and good singers you Weeding-Dub-photo-vertic-by-Qwestget a very energetic mixture. The least interesting tune of the album for me is the calmest ‘Love’ with Parvez who doesn’t seem to fit at all here. However, Little R sounds much more interesting on the same riddim. In general, singers with a good flow plus Weeding Dub riddims is a very good conjunction – for example ‘Check Yourself’ with Oulda, ‘Free’ with Inja or Demilition Man. The arrangement side is very rich, there are a lot of details and great instrumental parts, that can be heard since the very first tune with a beautiful violin sound by Ras Divarius; ‘Shadow Soldiers’ sounds like an action movie soundtrack!

I left one tune for the summary – ‘Sound System DNA’ with amazing Mark from Iration Steppas and his speech. Ain’t much to say here – this tune is an absolute killer soundsystem anthem, period. It’s also the best signature of this great album.

UK raport – Dubnews flash

Sorry, this entry is only available in Polish. For the sake of viewer convenience, the content is shown below in the alternative language. You may click the link to switch the active language.

Jaszol.
