10 marca zagrają oni w Krakowie całonocną sesję w konwencji “all night long” w idealnym na sound systemowe sesje miejscu czyli klubie ZetPeTe. Spodziewajcie się solidnego reggae / dub revival’u najwyższych lotów oraz idelanego brzmienia pięciodrożnego sound systemu potężnej mocy!

Melchizedek HI-POWA is an international Roots, Reggae, Dub, Stepper Soundsystem.  The members live in South Germany and Switzerland and originate from all corners of the earth! Melchizedek HI-POWA is an Original Reggae Soundsystem and so ready to provide quality music with heavy basslines even in big halls and on open air/festivals. Due to the use of one turntable the music plays from vinyl and get spiced up with many effects such as echoes, delays, sirens, samplers. Together with the accompanying voices of the DJ`s like Culture Japhet or others something heavy, new and special will be created! JAH Music ina King David Style!

It all started in the beginning of the millennium in small clubs in Aarau.
In the shadow of the Gideon Soldiers family the Iiya Ites sound was born around 2002 with Riddim Kwiin, Professor Samy and his little brother Benjahman as a singer. The name was changed in 2003 first into Melchizedek Soundsystem until with Melchizedek HI-POWA a name could be found which is to endure.

2006 brought some fresh wind thanks to a part of the 25-year-old Roots Operator Soundsystem and in 2008 we started to build up our own Sound System
In the same year Professor Samy started his monthly radio show “Dub Special” on Radio Kanal K , which has become a joint venture with the German sound system veteran Culture Japhet (I-Livity. Kingstep Hi-FI. Jah Roots) and that can count on listeneres from all corners of the earth!

Performances throughout Switzerland, Germany, Austria & Russia
as well as various festivals at home and abroad now adorn the business card.
The stage could be shared with artists like Israel Vibration, Jah Mason, Lutan Fyah, Chezidek, Prince Alla, Earl 16, Tafari, Uwe Banton, Ganjaman, Ras Seven, King Shiloh, Cultural Warriors, Afrikan Simba, Murry Man and many more.

Thanks to Partyseries like Roots & Culture Dubliftment, Dub Station, the first JAH Edutainment or DubSchool events in Switzerland Melchizedek yould make its name as organizers and the latest with the Dub Marathon 2011 set an exclamation mark!

The most important change happened in early 2012 through the merger with the 2005 established Kibish Tribe Sound System from Bavaria in person of Mukunda, the founder of the Dub Academy series and well-known box builder in the German dub scene. Kibish Tribe may also look back on a long history and some great dances.
Under the name Melchizedek HI-POWA and the sound system design of Kibish Tribe a new chapter is being opened!

The expanded crew now consists of Mukunda, Ras Rico, Professor Samy, the DJ `s Culture and Japhet Foundation Rocker, and helpers as Don Pedro, Bredda Lee.

All through HIS Strength and Inspiration – Qedamawi Haile Selassie!
