Pablo Raster – “Art of dub”

album_coverPablo Raster is a producer and a musician that has played over 800 concerts. He works mainly in Italy and has cooperated e.g. with Madaski (Africa Unite, Dub Sync), Zion Train, Vlastur, Dziga, Ricc Frost, Kg Man or Kasia Malenda and here you can read about his studio: http://dubmassive.org/en/10166/pablo-raster-studio/. A solo album is always a challenge, but Pablo perfectly managed it alongside the guests he has invited: Dan I (Imperial Army), Barry Isaacs, MrDill Lion Warriah, Sando Paradisi, Natty Sly, Valentina Benavides and Violinbwoy. The album consists of 11 tracks in dub-steppers style in different shades. Dan I serves us a classic message and a classic UK dub stepper, Barry Isaac appears in his own similar style as well. MrDill Lion Warriah sings on a great “Art of Dub” rhythm with a great accordion line. Heavy “Manipulation” rhythm is well handled by Valentina and “Open up you mind” folk gets covered with a strong bass that will stay in your head for a long time. On the end there is a Polish accent – Violinbwoy, who completed Pablo’s dub with his violin. A very good album for all fans of heavy, steppers music and people open to an interesting musical journey.
