DubVault #3 download – Double Tiger vs. Aswad – “Warrior Charge Recut” (Dub-Stuy Records)

[DS-DV003] ArtworkThis is the third release in DubVault series by Dub-Stuy Records from New York. This time you can download for free a recut of a famous track – “Warrior Charge” by Aswad. This melody is known for almost every sound system fan because it is a big UK roots tune and it was included in a very popular film “Babylon”, which is a mandatory item if you want  to get to know something about sound system culture.




The track have been remixed by Double Tiger aka Jay Spaker from Dub-Stuy Records / Tour de Force project. It has a heavier bassline and kicks but the spirit of the original, with blazing horns, is kept – it cannot be otherwise with such classical anthem!

Dub Stuy’s second download in DubVault series – Dubamine “Legend”

artworks-000112748336-aermgj-t500x500Dub Stuy Records reveals the second release in their free download series DubVault. This time we get a deep&dark track from Californian based producer Dubamine. The track is built around Alborosie’s “Rub a Dub Style” vocal sample, surrounded by dubbed out melodies, with half time percussions and a sharp synth theme. A dense atmosphere is multiplied by a deep bassline. Dubamine’s, aka Lucas Heinel inspiration were local dubstep pioneers such as Matty G, DJ G, and Antiserum and influences of this genre combined with reggae and dub style can be hear in “Legend”.
