Support for Mystic Revelation of Rastafari

Putus_Roots_Be_Wise_ArtworkDuke Production has announced their next release, which aim is to help and raise funds for Delroy “Putus Roots” Williams, a member of Mystic Revelation of Rastafari, a legendary group of drummers founded by Count Ossie. They drums and other historical artefacts were destroyed in a fire at Rockfort in East Kingston. The group is a living history of reggae music and Rastafari movement. As Samuel Williams said “These drums are older than me, and I am 56.”

Announced single contains Putus Roots voice in a calm song. All funds will go directly to the group.

the giantsDuke Production is Switzerland-based reggae and dub label, which has several releases out on the street as 7” or digital downloads with riddims provided by The Giants – solid roots vibes with a little, modern flavour.




Little more about this band – The Giants is a trio – drum, bass and guitar, but they record far more stuff like horns and percussions. Recently they prepared 18 tracks full album, recorded during live studio sessions entirely on a 8-tracks tape recorder from the late 80s. Compositions also are in old-school style, so all together sounds awesome, like classic dubs with tape echoes, soft drums and strictly dubwise taste.

The release is available free, in several places over the Internet, so catch it where you prefer.
