Nucleus Roots Records presents Mykal Rose – “Why we suffer”

NUC 07-Mykal Rose-outlined-03It’s been some time since last 7″ released by Nucleus Roots Records, you could have read about one of them here: http://dubmassive.org/en/8837/nucleus-roots-hail-up-the-sound-man-riatrevor-roots-7/. We missed somehow the second one so we want to mention ‘Bloods Of Kings’ now – a tune composed by Peter Lush in modern roots style with Stikki Tantafari, a very talented young Jamaican vocalist on the mic.

Now we want to present the newest Lush’s production with vocal contribution of reggae legend Mykal Rose known e.g. from Black Uhuru or his own albums and certainly from his unique voice and singing style. ‘Why We Suffer’ is an essence of UK Roots style referring to best Nucleus Roots tracks. The rhythm and beautiful Mykal’s voice create a meditative, lazy mood, but with a powerful bass line. I am glad that Nucleus Roots keeps working and releasing new, interesting music. Keep it up!
