Mystical Powa – Junior Dread/Sista Lore

Mystical Powa – Junior Dread/Sista Lore

indeksWe’ve already introduced you Mystical Powa crew in our articles http://dubmassive.org/en/search/mystical+powa. Here comes their 12″ which shows that Italian dub is going stronger strong. A side is “Warriors” by the great Junior Dread outta Brazil on the heavy stepper riddim inna roots fashion which doesn’t happen very often in days of digital dub. Side B comes with “Zion Valley” with Sista Lore on the vocal. Sweet melodies and melodical voice bring another precious vibe to this vinyl record. Looking forward for the 7th release out of Mystical Powa, which will come out very soon!

Mystical Records presents Idren Natural & Mystical Powa & Addis Pablo

Mystical Records presents Idren Natural & Mystical Powa & Addis Pablo

PrintWe’ve been writing about Mystical Powa recently, about their collaboration with Kibir La Amlak (http://dubmassive.org/7818/mystical-powa-meets-kibir-la-amlak).This time two great artists met on their new 12” – Idren Natural and Addis Pablo. The A side belongs to the first one, who is one of the most characteristic vocalist on the sound system scene for me. His mystical, hypnotic vibe is heard especially in “Hold a Gathering” where the producers from Mysitcal Powa also added their mystic to this steppers style riddim. The B side belongs to Addis Pablo and his melodica, which is a very successful completion of the main theme.

Thanks to the producers Marco Zion and Marco Isla, representatives of southern Italy, we have another proof that Italians are dealing very well on dub scene. Working together since 2006, five years later they founded record label for releasing productions with deep bass and peace and love in lyric layer. They are also the organizers of the events like “Roots Evolution”, “Natural Vibes”, “Dubwood” and have played with a lot of top sound systems from Europe.

Their 12” single featuring MrDill Lion Warriah and Kibir La Amlak has been released recently. On the first side we have steppers “Jah Jah Know” with beautiful vocal by Lion Warriah, who is blessing Most High. We have also dub version performed by Kibir La Amlak with powerful bass, exposed drums and a lot of space. The second side is “Trust the dream” by Mulu and I-Jah Salomon, Kibir La Amlak family. Here we have beautiful Mulu’s vocal and the beginning, with the classic statement of Marcus Garvey, creates a mystical song with great saxophone melody.
