serious time

Recently we’ve been writing about Mungo’s Hi-Fi remix album (http://dubmassive.org/en/9984/mungos-hi-fi-serious-time-remixes-pt-1/) and now here comes the second part. As with the first one we get well known tunes from “Serious Time” LP served in various styles and fashions – the “remix” term is treated seriously here. Bouncy vibes by DJ Vadim or Sekkle Sound, reggae groove in Stalawa’s “Bike Rider”, jungle madness by FLeCK. Electronic, bass, crazy beats – it’s all there, if you love various styles this energetic album is for you.

If you like when remix is a brand new attempt to an original track and moves them to completely new style then you have to grab this album from Mungos Hi Fi. “Serious Time Remixes pt. 1” is serious remix madness, moving from drum’n’bass through digital dub to the electronic edge. All dub lovers – check Prince Fatty’s remix and an excellent version of “Jah say love” with Cornell Campbell – minimal but so tuff!
