“Urban Mystic” is the 4th album of German MC Longfingah. The first sneak that this is the album of a singer is the list of the producers on the cover. The variety of artists (Zion Train, Adubta, Habesha, Dreadsquad to name just a few), who prepared the riddims, would also suggest that the MC is not scared to deal with any style connected to reggae music and you know this from the very first minutes of this album. Longfingah easily flows or chants on every riddim and he’s not losing his characteristic feature of his voice. Speaking of riddims, they are the big advantage of this LP – modern, urban styles, ranging from very nice raggamuffin or digital vibes to heavy bass and steppa bangers. The album is not embedded in one style but everything is connected through energetic, good vibe. Very enjoyable, both vocally and musically!

Zion Train – “Just Say Who” EP
This is the 3rd release promoting Zion Train’s album (http://dubmassive.org/10178/zion-train-land-of-the-blind-lp), which has been awaited by many fans because of legendary Horace Andy’s participation. “Just Say Who” EP consists of 4 tracks, 3 of them are tunes that has not been included on “Land Of The Blind” album. Rasta warrior Fitta Warri begins this release with strong message and he feels very well on Perch’s riddims. Next is Longfingah, who proves how versatile vocalist he is. And the icing on the cake – remix of “Just Say Who”, where Italians from Almamegretta meet Horace. His voice was praised many times, I can only add that we get an excellent, beautiful tune from 2 legends. I can only imagine how great it would be to have full album with such voice and such dubs…

“Rudebwoy Corporation” EP (Lion’s Den)
Every time I hear about Lion’s Den’s new release I wonder what they will surprise me this time. I got used to guests in the form of interesting vocalists and amazing, creative producers (often less known). This time they join forces with Italian label 4Weed and give us 12” with 6 heavy productions. Side A is 3 tunes with music of Dub All Sense, who has created very heavy riddims. On vocals we have Mr Williamz (already known, among others, from cooperation with Mungos Hi Fi) with incredibly strong “Haffi Bun”; MrDill Lion Warriah from Italy in “My Story” has showed how to flow over a typical dub roller. Longfingah in “Old Shatterhand” proves his high form. Side B are remixes that will make smile on the faces of all dubheads. At the beginning we get version from French Welders Hi Fi – “Haffi Bun” is even stronger than the original, which seemed impossible … Another surprise is the remix by Zion Train – in “Another story“, in his style, with exposed bass, he lift us above the orbit. At the end we get a remix by Jambassa from Italy, who used to work a lot in the netlabel Aquietbump. Here they present amazing tune, slightly embedded in the style of minimal dub.
