Vibronics – “The Return of Vibronics”

Vibronics – “The Return of Vibronics”

The Return Of VIBRONICSWhen I hear that Steve Vibronics is making a new release, it gives me the shivers, no matter what it will be – 7”, 10”, 12” or full album. Long awaited, the newest LP “The Return of Vibronics” surely can be found as one of the best made by the hands of one of the best dub producers of our times. Everyone, who knows Vibronics’ tunes can imagine what to expect – but here we get even more bass with great, catchy melodies; even more energy and dub! 12 heavy compositions, each of them can fire up a soundsystem dancefloor. The music is complemented by top vocalists: Micheal Prophet in a excellent, steppers riddim “Searching For Jah”, Macka B in his best style asks us are we ready (always!), Soom T on a initially rootical riddim splendidly sings against Babylon, Madu, who is singing with Steve on almost every show, knows all the ins and outs of the riddims and fits perfectly; Danman’s deejay style is great as usual, the same is valid for I-Mitri’s voicing. Vibronics’ LP one more time opens our minds for beautiful melodies in dub music. This release is a must for every dubhead!

Vibronics & Madu Messenger
W studiu pracowali z największymi legendami muzyki reggae i dub (Zion Train, Iration Steppas, Macka B, Ranking Joe, High MaduSteveTone, Big Youth to tylko początek nieskończonej listy zaprzyjaźnionych gwiazd).

Steppa Warriors
steppaKolektyw tworzą dwaj aktywni animatorzy polskiej sceny reggae & dub. Yarecki – selektor, dziennikarz i współzałożyciel portalu dubmassive.org. Występowali m.in. u boku The Mighty Jah Observer Sound System, O.B.F. Sound System, King Alpha, Wayne’a McArthura, Hornsmana Coyote, Uprising Sounds, Radikal Guru, Christine Miller, Will Tee i wielu innych artystów z Polski i zza granicy.

Cool Operator Sound System
Pierwszy i jedyny we Wrocławiu sound system* z prawdziwego zdarzenia. Dzięki oldschoolowemu, ciepłemu brzmieniu i wyszukanej selekcji płyt ska, rocksteady, reggae oraz dub, Cool Operator przenosi klimat jamajskich potańcówek sprzed niemal pół wieku. 29 września we wrocławskim klubie Tawerna (ul. Wróblewskiego 9), Cool Operator Sound System zagra swoją premierową imprezę.
Robbie – promotor i organizator, producent, soundman i wokalista.
System, O.B.F. & Shanty D, Indica Dubs, Stamina Li (Kibir La Amlak) i innych. Obecny na scenie od niemal 8 lat.
Kajetan – wykształcony akustyk, dźwiękowiec i realizator.

Vibronics – “Samsara” (Cubiculo Records)

Vibronics – “Samsara” (Cubiculo Records)

B_SIdeAs a big fan of Vibronics album “Dub Italizer” released 15 years ago this information caused me a little heart attack. “Samsara” – amazing, mystical and monumental dubwise is available on 12” with additional mixes, including one from Brain Damage! All of this thanks to Cubiculo Records, as usual they are surprising us with top-a-top release. Also take a look at a beautiful, colourful artwork, inspired by the original Buddhist term “Wheel of Samsara”.

Digi.Signa – Anthony B & Daddy Spencer (12”)

Digi.Signa – Anthony B & Daddy Spencer (12”)

DIGI-SIGNA-YOUTHMAM-A1Thanks to collaboration between Segnale Digitale and Warsound we get an amazing, 12 inch album with Daddy Spencer and Anthony B on vocals, produced by Manasseh and Vibronics. It’s not a coincidence that those artists meet on that album – Daddy perfectly fits the calm, pulsating rhythm made by Nick Manasseh, who is one of the best reggae music producers. The B side is another petard – Anthony B meets Vibronics and that steppers really destroys fascism with its power, it should appear on every sound system party and support the fight with system denaturalizations!

Vibronics – three 10” promoting new album

Vibronics – three 10” promoting new album

bd2abd3abd1a

We recently wrote about the new album by Vibronics and Brain Damage and now Jarring Effects released three 10″ vinyls with tracks from the album. The first one contains “Seige Of Kut” and “Neuve Chapelle” – instrumental tracks with strong winds. On the second one you can find two vocal tunes – dynamic “Do You Remember” sung by Sir Jean and “Youts To War” with Parvez – more moody and calm. On the last one Pavez shows up again in “Sufferation” and on the other side you can find “Kings Engine” with Madu Messanger

A long awaited album “Empire Soldiers” of two great artist of the modern dub scene – Vibronics and Brain Damage – will be available in the shops soon.

Musicaly it’s a meeting of two heavyweight dub geniuses, meeting the French school with the British one. Besides the amazing sounds and a mixture of characteristic styles we also get a rich, very brave and interesting lyrics, in which Madu Messenger, Parvez, Sir Jean and Mohammed El A

mraoui are telling us about the First World War in the context of experience of the soldiers – their death, suffering, but also friendship and yearning for home.

The first part of the album – called “The Album” – is mixed by Brain Damage, and the second one – “The Dubplates” – by Vibronics. The album will be available in the October (CD/LP). It’s good that there will also be released 3 10″ records with mixes made typically for soundsystems! And it’s even better that a live promoting tour has been announced to start this year!

To sum up – it looks like it will be one of most interesting dub releases this year (and not only). We definitely recommend it!
