The recent EP from Flash Hit Records brings us talented vocalist Derrick Parker on modern digital riddims. They are made in a modern, bassy flavour – just check excellent, pounding „Gone Pon Top”, massive „Dead Sound” or „Turn It Up”! A deadly combo of steppa, heavy basslines, subtle dubbing, a digital style with classic sounds and crazy synths – the main theme from „Dead Sound”, especially in the version, is absolutely cosmic. Lovers of classic rub-a-dub style will also be satisfied, Derrick easily catches the atmosphere of a riddim and flows easily and naturally.
A highly energetic EP, full of buzzing vibes – perfect if you need a boost.

Attention all classic dub lovers! The next LP from Moonshing Recordings brings us a delightful dose of old-school dubbing style and sounds. English producer King Yoof has worked on it for years and the time spent on polishing these tunes can be easily heard. The sound is amazing – warm, with vibrant basslines, mild drums, like taken straight out of Jamaican studio in the 1970s. But the best thing for me is the style of dubbing – all these delays, reverbs, flangers, lo-fi processing especially in the higher frequencies – they create absolutely stunning dub soundscape. Excellent arrangements with attention to dubwise parts complement the overall perception of this album.
„Homage To The King” is a time machine to the golden era of classic, Jamaican dub. If you love King Tubby, Scientist and other masters of dub, then you’ll love it from the very first sounds. I am completely under the spell of its old-school charm.

In March we were writing about the first part of the 3rd release (http://dubmassive.org/en/12317/dub-invaders-vol-3-part-1-aku-fen-feat-omar-perry-twelve-feat-doubla-j) from French crew Dub Invaders; now the time for the part 2 has come! Dub Invaders consist of members of High Tone band – if this name is familiar to you, then you know that their music has no borders and limits. With the trademark of a musical vision fueled by endless creativity, you never knows what sounds will reach your ears and test your speakers.
Keeping in mind the above, I will not try define the genre of „Boom Sound” by Roots’N Future Hi-Fi with Isiah Mentor on the vocals. This tune is 100%, totally, completely and maximally MAD. Sharp synths will drill your ears, digital flavour rhythm will start your body bouncing, steppa drums and wild basslines will try to crush the walls in your room, while Isiah’s vocals will increase your desire to teleport immediately into the epicentre of a soundsystem session.
On the B side we get Troy Berkley (Fogata Sounds, OBF, L’Entourloop) on the vocals and the riddim made by Led Piperz. He’s easily switching between rapping and singing, as the riddim changes – really lots of things happen in this electro-style dub. The same is with the second track on this side, where Hatboy Harry flows on a pounding electronic riddim.
Dub Invaders knocked me out with their music once again but please – don’t stop doing this.

Z nieukrywaną przyjemnością chcemy was zaprosić na drugą edycję festiwalu Bass Camp, która odbędzie się między 30. czerwca, a 3. lipca w “Ośrodku Rudawka Rymanowska”.
Z dala od miejskiej dżungli, w samym sercu Polskich Beskidów, zaplątani w niskich częstotliwościach będziemy mieli okazję zobaczyć i usłyszeć czołowych polskich i międzynarodowych producentów, DJów, nawijaczy i selektorów grających na dwóch czołowych Soundsystemach – Roots Revival i Dubseed. Dodatkowym gościem w tym roku będzie Austriacka ekipa – Shalamanda Hi Fi, która zagra całonocną sesję naprzeciwko stołecznych Roots Revival na swoim potężnym nagłosnieniu, a także Paproota.Org Sound.System, która swojego nagłosnienia użyczy do sceny działającej w ciagu dnia, między 15.00 a 21:00.
WARSZTATY
Oprócz terapii muzycznej każdy dzień rozpoczniemy z ROOTS YOGA, prowadzoną przez Janka Kosa. Później, tak jak w zeszłym roku, będzie okazja do uczestniczenia w wykładach i warsztatach. Będziemy gościć naszych znajomych z Wyspowej Doliny, którzy opowiedzą o budownictwie ekologicznym na przykładzie swojego domu w Beskidzie Wyspowym. Porozmawiamy z Jerry’m Lionz’em – gitarzystą Twinkle Brothers, muzykiem sesyjnym grającym na niezliczonych wydawnictwach brytyjskiego roots reggae od późnych lat 70. do chwili obecnej i producentem opiekującym się swoim własnym labelem – Lionz Den.
Ubiegłoroczne warsztaty z produkcji muzycznej cieszyły się sporą popularnością, więc postanowiliśmy zaprosić I-Mitri’ego jeszcze raz i rozbudować ich formę zachęcając do przyjazdu jednego z najlepszych polskich producentów i perfekcjonistę – Marka z Dreadsquadu. Będziecie mogli dowiedzieć się jak ustawić konsolę studyjną, kartę dźwiękową, oprogramowanie i efekty, czego potrzeba do dubowania na żywo, jak ustawić odsłuchy i pętle efektowe, jak używać Abletona Live i Push do mixowania i tworzenia muzyki, poznacie teorię muzyki i wszelkich trików studyjnych.
JEDZENIE I NAPOJE
Jeżeli zależy wam na tym żeby nasz festiwal odbywał się regularnie, pamiętajcie o korzystaniu z naszej kuchni i naszego baru. W ten sposób pomagacie nam znacząco zasilić jego budżet. Przejmujemy jedną z kuchni na terenie ośrodka, która będzie obstawiona naszą ekipą serwującą wegańskie i wegetariańskie potrawy. Będzie ona otwarta od godzin późno-śniadaniowych przez kolacyjne do późno-nocnych, tak, żebyście mogli się posilać kiedy wam wygodnie.
W tym roku również zadbaliśmy o zaspokojenie pragnienia wszystkich piwoszy! Ucieszy Was fakt naszej współpracy z rzemieślniczym browarem Inne Beczki, na którego kranach każdy bedzie mógł znaleźć coś dla siebie: od świeżo uwarzonych lagerów przez przyjemnego, lekkiego radlera, aż po mocne IPA. Dodatkowo będziemy mieć dla Was niespodziankę przygotowana specjalnie na Bass Camp! Oczywiście oprócz piwa mamy dla was również napoje bezalkoholowe“Celestynka”, z położonego nieopodal uzdrowiska Rymanów Zdrój.
NOCLEGI
Z tego, co wiemy, wszystkie domki kempingowe i pokoje zostały wyprzedane ale pamiętajcie, że pole namiotowe jest praktycznie nielimitowane i wliczone w cenę biletu.
TRANSPORT
Mamy świadomość, że podróż do nas może zająć sporo czasu, ale z racji ograniczonej pojemności naszego parkingu zapraszamy do wspóldzielenia miejsc w Waszych samochodach i ogłaszania się w naszej grupie temu dedykowanej: https://www.facebook.com/groups/468607043306888.

The next triple 7” set from Indica Dubs was inspired by Belgium „Dub Revolution” event, where he performed in November 2015. Sukh invited three talented producers from this growing scene. Forward Fever has already co-operated with him on previous releases, here they prepared a mystical and monumental instrumental dub „Jah Lead Us” with old-school sounds of strings and horns. „Oluwa” with Crucial Alphonso is a massive, rolling steppers with a strong, main theme. The last one – „Judgement Dub” with Echo Vault is the fastest one, also in a heavyweight style. The nice things is that all three 7” are different but have a common mood – mystical, deep and heavy dub, where melodies are built mainly with horns and strings sounds.
Tuff vibes, highly recommended for all dubheads!
